Emily Johnston is the Global Managing Director of the Cyber Incident Recovery group. In her role, Johnston is the global head of the Epiq CIR Practice and is tasked with developing the end-to-end identification and review process, recruiting, staffing, operations oversight, and review management for our clients. She leverages her background as an attorney both in-house and at major law firms to assist our clients with their eDiscovery and Privacy needs. Johnston has been with Epiq for over 8 years, and has also overseen multiple Document Review centers throughout North America.
Previous Professional Experience
Johnston has an extensive array of professional experience in all aspects of litigation, privacy, and document review. She has more than 15 years’ experience as an attorney, including as a litigator specializing in eDiscovery, global privacy issues, and the oversight of document review. She has also served as in-house eDiscovery counsel at two Fortune 500 companies, including as Assistant General Counsel and Vice President at Bank of America, where she oversaw all phases of the discovery process. Before that, she was Counsel in the eDiscovery and Information Governance group at Fulbright & Jaworski LLP.

Johnston holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communications Studies and English Literature from Florida State University, and a Juris Doctorate from New York University’s School of Law. She is also a current candidate for her MBA with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
