David Wagner and Michael Drone from Epiq’s Managed Document Review team discuss the benefits of using data analytics early in a matter to uncover the story to inform case strategy.
David Wagner has 10 years of experience in eDiscovery. For eight of those years he has managed projects of all sizes for Epiq across multiple practice areas. He has introduced cost saving techniques for clients using analytics as well as Early Case Assessment for very large collections. He has also pioneered text review techniques to increase pace tenfold. His experience in multi-city review management has transitioned well into remote review management, increasing productivity at every level. He received his bachelor’s degree from the Ohio State University and his JD from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida.
Michael Drone is a Relativity expert and senior director, Mike oversees teams handling complex eDiscovery initiatives for corporate and legal clients. His focus is on ensuring an efficient, accurate workflow throughout the review process, providing the client with quality work product within their budgetary and timeline requirements.
Mike has been involved in eDiscovery since 2007, developing in depth, direct experience with the process while supervising teams of more than 65 attorneys. Prior to joining Epiq, Mike managed teams of more than 50 members on grass roots lobbying projects, and for two Senators and a Congressional committee on Capitol Hill.
Mike received his J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law, his LL.M. from Washington University School of Law and his B.A. in government relations from American University in Washington, D.C. Mike is a Relativity Master, holding his RCA and RCU and certifications in Analytics, Assisted Review, Project Management.
