Bishan Yang is a Vice President at Epiq and co-leads Epiq AI Labs. Bishan is a computer scientist with a passion for building systems that can extract actionable knowledge from natural language text. She has more than 10 years of research experience in AI, Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing, including at Carnegie Mellon and Cornell, where she obtained her PhD. In addition to her research experience, Yang has also worked at renowned industry labs such as Microsoft Research and Google Research. She was named a Rising Star in EECS (Electrical Engineering Computer Science) in 2016. Before joining Epiq, Yang co-founded LAER AI, where she developed cutting-edge AI technology successfully deployed in high-stakes litigation and investigations.
