Jocelyn Plain

Jocelyn Plain is a legal technology expert with more than 20 years of experience in law, eDiscovery, and Information Governance, advising global clients on data breaches, investigations, and governance, designing tech-enabled solutions that drive clarity and compliance.

As a Solutions Architect at Epiq, she partners with clients to navigate complex challenges — from data breaches and regulatory investigations to governance frameworks — by designing tailored, tech-enabled solutions. Jocelyn holds certifications in RelativityOne and Reveal AI, underscoring her expertise in advanced eDiscovery platforms and AI legal workflows.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Epiq, Jocelyn was Associate Director at Control Risks, where she led forensic technology and compliance projects across the EU, delivering complex eDiscovery workstreams for high-stakes investigations and compliance matters. 

Education and Languages

Jocelyn holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings). She earned her B.A. in Political Science and History from UC Berkeley, including a study abroad program at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid focused on Spanish legal systems and history.

She is fluent in English, German, and Spanish — skills that support her cross-border collaboration across multilingual teams.

Speaking and Recognition

Jocelyn is a familiar face and speaker at global conferences, and a frequent speaker at Relativity User Groups and AI conferences across Europe. She has been nominated multiple times for the Relativity Innovation Awards, including Best Innovator — Stellar Women in 2025, and Best Innovator — Inclusion in both 2024 and 2025.

She is a DEI advocate, serves on the board of Empower Epiq, and actively contributes to Epiq Women, Gente@Epiq, and API@Epiq — employee resource groups that champion equity and belonging across the organization.
