1. How has Epiq Counsel enabled you to apply your legal expertise?

Epiq has an excellent client base. I was offered a demanding role in a market-leading FTSE 100 company where I had to hit the ground running. The work is broad and interesting, and I definitely feel I'm making a positive impact.

2. What motivated you to choose a flexible legal career path with Epiq Counsel?

I've spent much of my career full-time in-house and often thought about starting my own legal consultancy, focusing on areas of law I've found the most interesting. The flexibility I have with Epiq allows me to do that. Although my current role is full-time, I value being able to diversify the topics I work on and adjust my workload as I wish.

3. What has been your favourite part about working with Epiq Counsel?

Epiq is a highly professional organisation that has offered me a quality role at a great company and excellent onboarding and ongoing support.

4. How has the flexibility of Epiq Counsel allowed you to deepen or broaden your legal expertise?

Having spent most of my career with technology in the US, I now have insight into a whole new UK-focused industry. I'm learning new skills working in a well-managed, successful company that takes legal compliance seriously.

5. What advice would you give to legal professionals considering a transition to a flexible legal career?

There are plenty of high-quality opportunities out there. From what I have seen, often temporary roles will evolve into longer-term or even permanent contracts, so stability hasn't really been a concern. It can be a great way to gain exposure to different organisations and industries.

6. In what ways do you see the legal industry evolving to accommodate flexible, on-demand legal talent?

I can only see the demand for flexible high-quality legal talent increasing. Companies increasingly need agile ways to supplement their in-house teams with experienced lawyers who can quickly make a positive impact.
