Alexandra Nelte Joins Epiq Counsel UK, Guides In-House Legal Support

Helping clients manage workflows by engaging experienced Epiq legal professionals

LONDON – June 3, 2025 – Epiq announced today that Alexandra Nelte has joined to lead Epiq Counsel UK, its on-demand legal secondments business. This hire marks a continued commitment to helping legal departments improve their effectiveness and efficiency through flexible solutions.

Nelte is a senior talent leader bringing more than two decades of experience in legal practice, recruitment, business partnership, and client delivery. Her track record of strategic and operational talent delivery has improved company culture and client outcomes in high-growth and tech-enabled businesses.

“As a former lawyer, I am passionate about creative problem solving for clients and fostering career paths for high calibre lawyers who are not afraid to get off the beaten track,” Nelte said. “I’m thrilled to join the team at Epiq to deliver this high impact solution and help our clients achieve results.”

Prior to joining Epiq, Nelte worked as a finance lawyer at Linklaters, advising leading financial institutions, including as an in-house secondee. More recently, she served as Vice President for Talent Experience at Axiom, having previously led their recruitment and talent management functions in the UK, Continental Europe, and Asia for over ten years.

Epiq Counsel, which provides experienced lawyers, paralegals, contracts negotiators, and legal operations specialists, can provide a sixty percent cost savings over law firms and offers billing rates up to ten percent less than competitors, whilst maintaining quality outcomes and professional services experiences for talent and clients alike. The Epiq Counsel secondment model helps clients:

  • Manage workflow spikes or fill gaps due to attrition, leaves, or hiring freezes.
  • Increase capacity of teams without adding permanent headcount.
  • Add specialised expertise to projects, such as a new product launch or policy drafting required by a regulatory change.

“The legal solutions market is fragmented, and clients are craving both simplicity and a return to white glove service,” said Caroline Woodman, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Epiq. “Epiq is in a unique position to deliver secondment solutions as part of a wider offering that supports clients across all their legal operations.”

Epiq Counsel provides coverage across the UK, US, Canada, and Australia. Focus areas include Intellectual Property, Commercial Contracts and Technology Licensing, Corporate Governance, Data Privacy and Cybersecurity, Legal Operations, Employment, Mergers and Acquisitions, Litigation, and Regulatory and Compliance. The team also brings industry-specific expertise in verticals including Financial Services and Banking, Life Sciences, and Real Estate.
