Jennifer Karr is recognized as a leader in legal operations and IP management with over 20 years of experience integrating law, technology, and business strategy. She has shaped industry standards through thought leadership roles, including serving as co-chair of CLOC’s IP Proficiencies Committee and LegalOps.com Vendor Management Committee. 

As Global Legal Operations Director at TikTok, Jennifer helped to establish the legal operations function from the ground up, implementing governance frameworks and technology solutions that positioned the company’s legal function as a strategic business partner. She led supplier management and e-billing programs, launched an enterprise-wide IP management system, and developed a preferred partner program that delivered significant cost savings and operational efficiencies.

Prior to TikTok, Jennifer spent 18 years at Microsoft, where she earned the 2020 Financial Times Intelligent Business Award for her innovative approach to modernizing IP and legal operations. She led transformative initiatives that accelerated adoption, improved data integrity, and enhanced operational performance across the organization. With experience managing the entire IP lifecycle, Jennifer has a comprehensive understanding of how to strengthen the alignment between people, processes, and technology.
