Securely Search, Analyze, and Act on Legal Data and Workflows With AI Assistants

NEW YORK, Sept. 17, 2026 — Epiq today announced the availability of Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectors for Epiq AI™, Epiq Discover™, Epiq Narrate™, and Epiq Access. The new offering enables corporate legal departments and law firms to securely access and act on legal data, applications, and workflows through the AI assistants they already use, enabling faster outcomes.

As legal teams increasingly use AI assistants, such as Claude, to accelerate daily tasks, they need a way to connect those assistants to external legal platforms where work gets done. Using MCP, the open-source industry standard for connecting AI models with external data and tools, Epiq provides clients with a secure way to link trusted AI assistants to Epiq applications, without requiring custom integrations.

With Epiq MCP connectors, clients can use natural-language requests to securely search, analyze, and act on information without duplicating or moving data. This enables organizations to increase productivity and extend the value of existing technology investments while maintaining platform-specific permissions.

“Legal teams need flexibility to work with the AI assistants they trust without compromising security or governance,” said Manish Vazirani, Chief Technology Officer at Epiq. “Epiq MCP connectors deliver that flexibility through a secure, governed connection to Epiq applications, allowing users to derive more value from legal data and workflows without disrupting existing controls.”

Through the MCP connectors, clients benefit from AI efficiency combined with human expertise built into Epiq AI, Epiq Discover, Epiq Narrate, and Epiq Access, and:

  • Bring case insights into focus faster by accelerating fact research.
  • Expedite case and trial preparation by identifying and analyzing key evidence and testimony.
  • Enhance decision-making with detailed project metrics.
  • Ensure timelines and deliverables with quick access to work request data.

Epiq MCP connectors advance the company’s vision of creating an open, secure, and seamless legal technology ecosystem that allows organizations the flexibility to adopt and use their preferred AI assistants across trusted legal applications and workflows. Epiq applications are accessible through the Epiq Service Cloud, a unified legal technology and services platform.
