Epiq Recognized as No. 1 Claims Administrator for The Top 100 U.S. Class Action Settlements of All Time

ISS SCAS reports the global company managed $36.2 billion in settlements and administered more than half of total claims

NEW YORK – March 18, 2024Epiq, a global technology-enabled leader to the legal industry and corporations, earned the top rank among claims administrators by Institutional Shareholder Services Securities Class Action Services (ISS SCAS).

According to data recently released in the ISS SCAS report, “The Top 100 U.S. Class Action Settlements of All Time,” Epiq was the most frequently selected claims administrator of all time, having administered 53 percent of claims, whereas the closest competitor completed only 23 percent. In total, Epiq managed $36.2 billion in settlements, more than $15 billion over the next closest claims administrator.

According to the ISS SCAS report, 2023 delivered a banner year for investor recoveries, as the $7.9 billion in settlement funds across the globe reached the highest total in the last five years. Recorded settlement funds in 2023 surpassed last year’s robust year by approximately $600 million. The $5.8 billion specifically secured in securities class actions in the U.S. was also up 18 percent from 2022.
