I would encourage lawyers to never stop reflecting and improving. Communicate clearly, be responsive, and deliver work that makes decisions easier. If you choose opportunities that allow you to perform at a high level, the model can be both professionally challenging and deeply fulfilling.

In what ways do you see the legal industry evolving to accommodate flexible, on-demand legal talent?

I believe the legal industry is taking a more strategic, integrated view of flexible legal talent. Strong core teams will remain essential, but leading legal departments increasingly value experienced lawyers who can scale with deal volume, special projects, business initiatives, major events, geographic needs, or temporary capacity gaps. The most effective flexible lawyers will pair substantive expertise with business judgment, technological fluency, responsiveness, and the ability to integrate quickly.
