Worrying Consolidation or Healthy Competition? E-Discovery Industry Reacts to Reveal Acquiring Logikcull, IPRO
Legal Tech News
Reveal's recent acquisitions of Logikcull and IPRO have stirred mixed reactions in the e-discovery industry. Some express concern about potential changes and accessibility issues, particularly among smaller firms relying on these tools. Others view consolidation as a chance to provide more curated solutions, with the market still open to new entrants, leaving the e-discovery landscape in a state of uncertainty.
Eric Crawley, Senior Vice President, Legal Solutions, Epiq: “Reveal’s recent acquisitions continue the trend of e-discovery software companies attempting to provide comprehensive solutions throughout the EDRM and across every use case and type of matter. That said, we are seeing new entrants to this market, particularly due to the accessibility of tools made available from the likes of Microsoft, Amazon, and Google, among others. Despite the expected consolidation of more established software providers, new entrants are and will continue to emerge.”
