Epiq’s Phillip Hardy Selected for Black Leadership Award

Founding member of Epiq’s global DEI committee selected by Profiles in Diversity Journal 

NEW YORK – Nov. 1, 2023 – Epiq is proud to announce that Phillip Hardy has been selected by Profiles in Diversity Journal for this year’s Black Leadership Award. Hardy is being recognized for advancing the cause of diversity, equity, and inclusion while excelling in his own career. 

Hardy, a Client Services Associate Project Manager in Epiq’s Class Action business, is a founding member of Epiq’s global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee. He successfully managed the initial budget and played a pivotal role in establishing the first of now six Employee Resource Groups, Black@Epiq. 

Since joining Epiq in 2018 when his company was acquired, Hardy has been instrumental in shaping Epiq’s corporate DEI strategy and innovative programs. As founder of Black@Epiq, he worked to bring employees of diverse backgrounds and their allies together to build community through outreach and education. Notably in 2020, 2021, and 2022, he led Epiq through impactful initiatives, facilitating crucial dialogues between top executives and Black employees and bringing in external experts to guide professional development. 

Outside of Epiq, Hardy continues to make an impact as a community and church volunteer giving back to economically disadvantaged populations by organizing back to school fundraisers and food drives around the holidays.

Hardy will be profiled in Profiles in Diversity Journal’s upcoming issue. Profiles in Diversity Journal is dedicated to promoting and advancing diversity and inclusion in the corporate, government, nonprofit, higher education, and military sectors. Since 1999, it has helped to stimulate organizational change by showcasing the visionary leadership, innovative programs and committed individuals who are making it happen.
