Michael Alicea leads the Epiq human capital strategy to deliver business growth and meet strategic goals. His expertise spans operating models, workforce performance optimization, and talent strategies that enable organizations to execute through periods of change. This includes leading large, distributed teams at complex global organizations and partnering with senior leadership to deliver results across mergers, restructures, and ownership transitions.
Most recently at Trellix, Michael led global HR for more than 5000 employees across 20 countries, supporting a complex double carve-out. He worked with private equity owners to merge two cybersecurity businesses, stand up a separate company, rebuild the HR function, and lead European works council negotiations.
Michael also served as Chief People Officer (CPO) at NIQ (formerly NielsenIQ), a global marketing research firm with more than 30,000 employees and operations in over 100 countries, supporting large-scale business and organizational change. Prior to his ascent to CPO, he held senior HR leadership roles across shared services, media, and enterprise functions. Earlier in his career, Michael held senior leadership roles in HR, communications, and operations at Nielsen, VNU and PERQ HCI.
Michael received his BBA in HR and Organizational Management from Baruch College and has completed advanced coursework in human resources and business policy. He also serves as an independent board member at Emerald Expositions, where he chairs the Compensation Committee and sits on the Audit Committee and sits on several non-profit boards.
