Andrew Bye is Product Director at Epiq. He supports corporate legal departments, compliance teams, and law firms with defensible reviews of sensitive communications and documents. His work applies natural language processing and AI to identify compliance risk, including antitrust, bribery and corruption, and code of conduct violations. He leads product development and advises organizations on technology driven review workflows that improve efficiency and strengthen risk detection.
Before joining Epiq, Andrew served as Director of Product at LitLingo. He developed and maintained specialized language models to identify compliance risk in enterprise communications. He expanded the platform to support new regulatory and compliance use cases and guided the evolution of the message review platform to include capabilities aligned with modern eDiscovery expectations. In this role, he worked closely with clients across media, telecommunications, manufacturing, consumer goods, and energy.
Andrew brings more than two decades of experience in legal technology. His background spans computational linguistics, data science, machine learning leadership, and product strategy, with prior roles at Oracle, Recommind, Catalyst, OpenText, and H5. He is a frequent speaker on Technology Assisted Review, machine learning in legal workflows, and statistical validation. Andrew holds a BA in linguistics, summa cum laude, from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MA in linguistics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
