Epiq Promotes Nicole Hamann to President

Will Lead Epiq’s Class Action, Remediation, and Mass Tort Businesses

NEW YORK – Dec. 6, 2023 – Nicole Hamann has been named President of Epiq’s consolidated Class Action, Remediation, and Mass Tort businesses and joins Epiq's Executive Leadership Team.

Hamann has been with Epiq for more than 25 years, rising through the ranks by leading several different operational and technology teams, eventually transforming the company’s professional services delivery to legal, financial, and federal sector clients. A recognized expert in settlement administration, she most recently served as general manager of Epiq’s Class Action business line, which experienced double digit growth under her leadership.

Some of the largest and most complex settlements ever reached were implemented under Hamann’s direct leadership, including In re: Payment Card Interchange, Pigford v. Glickman, and In re Unocal Refinery Litigation Toxic Release Case. Additionally, many of the processes and much of the technology that have driven Epiq’s class action success were designed or implemented by her. 

Before joining Epiq in 1995, Hamann worked in neuro-immunology research and hospital anesthesia services. She earned her Bachelor of Science in biochemistry degree from the University of Washington, which included studies at Albert Ludwigs Universistät in Freiburg, Germany. She holds an MBA from the University of Oregon.
