Joe Arena Senior Director, Corporate Restructuring

Joe Arena is a Senior Director on the Corporate Restructuring team and leads the securities and solicitation practice.  Joe has over fifteen years of experience specializing in bankruptcy balloting and other restructuring projects, including public and private exchange offers, consent solicitations, rights offerings, and public securities distributions.

Joe is expert in counseling companies and their advisors in the development of procedures for complex restructuring events, and has extensive hands-on experience interacting with all stakeholders in connection with both in-court and out-of-court restructurings. He is adept at liaising on behalf of clients with The Depository Trust Company (DTC) and the international depositories, Euroclear and Clearstream, and in guiding the transaction’s financial advisers to ensure their models meet the necessary requirements for restructuring distributions.  He regularly participates in industry forums, including through SIFMA and DTC.
Prior to joining Epiq, Joe worked in brokerage services, banking compliance, and litigation support. Joe graduated from Fordham University with a B.S. in Finance.
